Aerial Views to Physical Models

A Local Architecture Study
By day, I design buildings with Eastabrook Architects. By weekend, I’m often found exploring the local area, looking for the architectural gems that give our area its character. I am particularly inspired by early 20th Century Architect Guy Dawber and his contemporaries.
I am currently building a digital and physical collection of our area’s most interesting buildings. If I’ve left a leaflet through your door, it’s because your home caught my eye as a perfect candidate for this project.
My Offer
I don't charge for this. It’s a way for me to hone my skills in photogrammetry and 3D printing while creating something unique for the people who live in the buildings I admire. In exchange for permission to capture the data, you receive:
A 3D Printed Model
A physical, 3D-printed miniature of your home.
High-Res Aerial Photography
All original drone photos on a memory stick—perfect for roof inspections, insurance, or just a unique view of your property.
Transparency, Safety & Tech
Safety & Insurance
I take drone flight seriously. I am a CAA-registered Operator and carry comprehensive Public Liability Insurance specifically for drone operations. My flights are short (usually under 60 minutes) and I use high-end, quiet equipment to ensure minimal disruption.

Privacy & GDPR
My focus is purely architectural. I use a "Data Minimization" approach:
-
Selective Capture: I only photograph the building and its immediate grounds.
-
Instant Filtering: Any unintentional images of people or interiors are deleted immediately during the processing stage.
-
Local Storage: I don't send the data to any external company for processing. I processes everything on a computer in my studio and the images are only stored for the minimum time required to make a really great model, following this everything is deleted. I will never share or sell the photos I take for this purpose.

Security & The Collection
The models I create are for an architectural study. While I hope to publish this collection in the future as a digital or physical gallery, your specific address and personal details are always kept private. Think of it as a portrait of a house, not a map to a home.
How It Works
The Chat: We agree on a time that works for you.

The Flight: I spend about an hour on-site capturing roughly 200–400 high-resolution photos from various angles.

The Processing: I use Photogrammetry (Reality Capture/Meshroom) to turn those 2D images into a high-density 3D mesh.

The Print: The model is optimized for 3D printing and brought to life in my studio.

The Delivery: I drop off your physical model and your USB stick of photos.
The leaflet that brought you here will have my contact details on it.
I am excited to hear from you!
